Storeloom FAQ
A Shopify app for writing your store's FAQ in the Shopify admin and showing it on your storefront.
- Your FAQs stay in your store. They're saved as Shopify custom data in your own store, not on our servers, and you can export them at any time.
- Nothing is added to your theme's code. The FAQ appears through an app block that you place in the theme editor. The app never edits your theme's files, so uninstalling leaves them exactly as they were — and your FAQs stay in your store, because they're yours.
- It works without JavaScript. Questions open and close using the browser's own controls, so every customer can read every answer.
- Two permissions, no more. The app asks Shopify for
write_metaobjectsandwrite_metaobject_definitions: what it needs to store your FAQs. It has no access to your customers or your orders. - A storefront check, when you ask for one. "Check now" loads your storefront once, the way a customer sees it, and tells you whether your published FAQs are all there.

Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
This policy covers the Storeloom FAQ app for Shopify and this website. They are operated by Houssem Taleb Berrouane. You can reach us at support@storeloom.net.
What we keep, and why
Your store's connection to the app. When you install Storeloom FAQ, Shopify gives the app access to your store. We keep your store's Shopify address (for example your-store.myshopify.com), the access tokens Shopify issues so the app can work with your store, the permissions you granted, and when those tokens expire. We need these to read and save your FAQs when you use the app. We don't keep the names or email addresses of you or your staff.
Storefront check records. When you open the app, it records where the FAQ block sits in your live theme, as Shopify reports it. If you type the address of your FAQ page, we keep that address. When you run a check, we keep its result: whether your published FAQs were all showing, the short names (handles) of any that were missing or unexpected, and when the check ran. We keep these to show you the last result.
Server logs. Like most web services, ours records requests to the app: the time, the address requested, the IP address and browser type of the request, and the app's own messages, which include your store's Shopify address. Logs are kept for 30 days, then deleted.
Emails you send us. If you write to support, we keep the conversation in our inbox for as long as we need it to help you.
What we don't keep
- Your FAQ content. It lives in your Shopify store. The app reads and saves it through Shopify when you use the app. Exports are made for you to download and aren't kept on our servers; imports are written into your store and aren't kept either.
- Anything about your customers. The app has no access to customer or order data, and the FAQ block on your storefront runs no script, sets no cookies, and sends nothing to us.
- Analytics, tracking or advertising data. We don't use any, and we don't sell or share data for advertising.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies, and neither does the app: inside the Shopify admin it identifies your store with Shopify's own session tokens.
Who handles data for us
- Google Cloud runs the app, its database and its logs, in Montréal, Canada.
- Shopify is the platform the app runs on; your FAQs are stored by Shopify, in your store.
- Zoho Mail holds our support inbox, in Zoho's United States data centre. Unlike everything else we run, this is not in Canada: emails you send to support, and our replies, are stored there.
- Cloudflare provides DNS for storeloom.net and serves this website from its network worldwide. Like any web host, it handles visitors' IP addresses to deliver the page. We collect nothing about visitors to this site and run no analytics on it.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
When you uninstall the app, Shopify tells us, and we delete your store's connection and its storefront check records. Shopify sends a second deletion request 48 hours later, and we delete again in case anything was written in between. Logs are deleted after 30 days. Your FAQs stay in your store, because they are yours.
You can ask us what we hold about your store, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@storeloom.net. If you're in Canada, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
